I listened to Harris Miller's presentation on Lou Dobb's CNN show and
was profoundly impressed with his instant conversion into the world's
best computer security guru. He was discussing the recent hacking into
the credit card database. Not surprisingly nobody at CNN thought of
asking Miller if the massive influx of H-1Bs into the U.S. and the
outsourcing of credit card processing posed a security risk. Could it
actually be that nobody at CNN knew that Harris Miller is also the guru
of H-1B importation and shortage tales?

Talking about Homeland Insecurity, this is a major league whopper:

Jim Flyzik, a former senior adviser to Homeland Security czar Tom
Ridge, was named Tuesday as chairman of the Information Technology
Association of America's homeland-security task group.

The group addresses issues such as risk sharing and security-clearance
requirements for homeland-security contractors.

A former Treasury CIO and vice chairman of the federal CIO Council,
Flyzik, who retired from government in December, says he frequently
looked to private-sector colleagues for guidance, support, and new
ideas during his 20-plus years in government. Now, Flyzik says, it's my
turn to help from the outside.
