Saronne got a reply from the DOJ/OSC but it's not encouraging.
Basically they told her that she can hire an expensive lawyer and file
a lawsuit because they are not willing to do anything about
discrimination against American citizens.

Even though you may feel like you are beating your head against a wall,
tt's still a good idea to keep filing complaints because the DOJ and
DOL continue to deny that they get many complaints from American
citizens. Perhaps as the complaints continue to pile up they will take
action.

Rob,

I have a feeling that someone from OSCCRT saw your newsletter about me
not receiving any response from them regarding my August 21 e-mail to
them about the Oracle H-1B job. Here is their response which I
received this afternoon. It is the same kind of nonsense about "If you
meet the other qualifications", blah, blah, blah. This must be the
standard way of blowing off US citizens. The mere fact that companies
advertise for H-1B's or Indians only is illegal and they should be
investigated, fined and penalized. I suppose next, they will say,
"Oops, the position is filled, you did not apply for the job on time,
your complaint is invalid". Of course, the H-1B will always have the
perfect qualifications for the job.

Who is going to investigate our own corrupt government?

This is in response to your e-mail of August 21, 2003, to the Office of
Special Counsel. You directed our attention to an Oracle Job Opening
for H-1B visa holders only. We appreciate this information. Thank you
for calling it to our attention. If you meet the other qualifications
for the position and are a "protected individual" under the
antidiscrimination provision (that is, a U.S. citizen, permanent
resident, refugee or asylee), you may wish to file a charge against the
company that posted the job opening. You may get information about how
to file a charge at our web site, www.usdoj.gov/crt/osc. In addition,
you may contact us at 1-800-255-7688 (toll free). Thank you again for
the information.
